Cross Training Questions

Where can I get a comfortable bag to carry to and from work?

I take the train for an hour, thenI walk over a mile to and from work everyday with LOTS of stuff in my bag. Books, Sneakers, folders, etc. My bag tends to get heavy. Therefore, I am looking to find a comfortable bag that I can wear on my shoulder crossing over my body. So, either a 1 strap backpack or a messenger bag type bag. The strap has to be comfortable, and the bag has to be big enough to carry around books, sneakers, a sweater, etc. But not too big so that I can't tote it around everywhere. Plus, I would like one with different compartments to keep things separate like my keys and train tickets. But mostly, I'm looking for COMFORT! I have been working and doing this commute for 6 years and have YET to find a suitable bag. Any ideas????

  1. if you are IN for a strap across bag that is just ideal... it comes in loads of colors and designs go to any sports goods store and get one even a back pack should be comfy and cool great picks ... great prices visit the website below
  2. I just purchased these messenger bags at Kohls. They are very comfortable and I carry a lot of stuff when I go to work (I work in a hospital so I carry 2 pharmaceutical drug reference books). They were both on sale (plus I got a $5 off coupon) so I bought both. http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/mens/accessories/businesstravel/messengerbags.jsp?bmForm=guided_nav_search&SubcatFolderID=2534374752620974 I sprayed some scotchguard on the bags to protect it from dirt and water. I like the pockets on the side (that's where I put my keys and cell and id badge). I would recommend getting one of those padded shoulder straps (you can buy that at Walmart or any large department store or luggage shop). If you are still looking around, just let me know. I am the queen of messenger bags and I always seem to buy them.
