The new version of AB1634 is now available for viewing. In theory it would now allow for some dogs and puppies " in training" to apply. It still allows the State to determine which dogs we can breed! There is still no exemption for breeding stock that is not shown and still no exemption for any dog over two who is not titled! No exemptions are made for working dogs or dogs who don't fit into state approved registries ANY ORGANIZATION OR CLUB WHICH IS ON THE OPPOSED LIST MUST SEND A NEW REPONSE COMMENTING ON THESE CHANGES AND CONFIRMING THEIR OPPOSITION BY APRIL 19TH Please continue to register your opposition as individuals with the assembly and the assembly B&P committee and it's consultants, excluding assemblyman Maze. - I personally can't see why people are so worried about dogs going extinct. THEY'RE NOT!!! There are soooo many in shelters that seem forgotten. Sure, we have nice purebred dogs that we love. But tehres a stereotype that shelter dogs aren't good pets. NOT TRUE!!! Shelter dogs (and cats) make JUST AS GOOD pets as ANY purebred dog!!!
- dogs will not go extinct! there are so many dying in shelters, i should know I work at one!!! i love animals and it kills me that so many are being euthanized!! we get all types of dogs, mutts, pure breeds small and large, and i know that they are being put to sleep in shelters everywhere! we need to stop byb and puppy mills, also irresponsible people who dont have there pets fixed and plan to breed for money! its horrible that so many animals end there lives early because there arnt enough homes. for every one person born 15 dogs are also born, and 45 cats are also born!! trust me dogs and cats will always be in our future!!! DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER PETS DIE!!!
