Cross Training Questions

 

CROSS TRAINING, for XC, best way to get heart rate up besides swimming, lack of pool :(?

I"M INJURED!!! so I need a little cross training routine, and I KNOW that the biking isn't doing it that well thanks btw

  1. try picking up a new sport like racquet ball, tennis or basketball or you could go to ur local ymca or something like that and try out the elliptical or one of those machines
  2. You could try swimming or weights, but biking is the best way. You should do your training on the bike with the same intensity as you run with. If you just go for a slow pedal through the park, you won't get anything out of it. You should be sweating, and almost not able to lift your legs when your workout is over.
  3. core workout, medicine ball, dumbbells.
