Designer Dogs?
Does this mean I am now cool & trendy?! I've never considered myself this, I havn't enough money to spend on fasionalble frivolities (non left at the end of the month after paying out for dogs), and as for clothes well, dog walking / training gear hardly counts as "haute couture"! But yesterday I realised that for years, without realising it, I have been really cool and trendy. I HAVE A SHOLLI that is a Shepherd cross Collie, yes a designer dog! So what I want to know is does this make me cool and trendy and how many other closset cool and trendy's are there out there with thier little fasion icons laid by the fire? My brother in law has one, a LABIT, lab cross whippet and a freind has a TOLLI, terrier cross collie. Before coming out thought you may have to consider the implications. Do we now need to deck our dogs out in sparkley spandex or invest in a fasionble handbag to carry them (it would have to be suitcase for the Shollie if he were to fit though)!! I love the idea of the "bullshiht" as lets face it, isn't it all! And a wasn't sure I should say I only paid £30 for my lad from the rescue but I suppose I could lie and add a 0 or two.

- all it means is that you have a dog....
- LOL LOL thanks for the laugh I used to have a Goldadore...golden cross lab!!! WOW!! I must be cool too!!!
- lol. mutts errrr i mean.. hybrids are really fun and SOME can look freaking awesome. i guess could be considered designer dogs, but i'll just stick with my purebred XD. i've got a blue nose fawn pitbull and that is a HUGE fad around here in cali (and other parts of USA), everyone's "blah blah blah, BLUE NOSE ROCK" etc... it's ridiculous and i could care less that my dog's nose is blue but people constantly tell me how great of a dog i've got. the dog was given to me, i didn't even know he was such a desirable kind lol.
- I'm hoping your post is sarcastic. If so, I won't bash you lol I have a Labraseer, by the way. I made up the name since a Landseer Newfoundland/Labrador mix isn't an "accepted" "hybrid" dog just yet (rolling eyes). It was that or Newfador ;) But I'm not a moron - I paid $90 for him at a shelter - not $900 to a "breeder"! I really wanted a "Bullshiht" but they didn't have any Bulldog/Shih Tzu mixes! But then, I guess you can call all those pricey hybrids "bullshiht"! PS: I'd forego the spandex... it can be a bit chafing
- YES - you are cooler than cool!! Me too. We got two moodles...or malti-poos...or mutts...from the shelter. Fantastic dogs, smart and pretty cute. But they look like...and are...mutts! I can't believe people pay thousands of dollars for these guys. Although mine have cost me thousands in vet bills since I got them (temporary problems, not genetic issues)... Now I have to admit my daughter (she's 5) bought a hoodie for one of them as a Christmas present. Oh how embarrassing. And the other has a black T-shirt that says "Security" on it in white. I know, I know! Just call me Paris. Next I'll be dying their fur to match my outfit (joking!! please!!). Growing up most of my friends had cross breed dogs and we never considered them "designer". Just cool dogs. Enjoy your "Sholli" ;)
