  1. As you have been doing, run. I know it's hot but maybe just take breaks more often. Get as much excersize as possible, even just stretching. Eat healthy. Every once in a while it's good to have a treat though. A good thing i learned is not to eat to much meat. I know it gives lots of... idk. but it sticks to the inside of you, it doesn't digest properly which keeps building fat.
  2. idk maybe swim some laps
  3. run with someone. try to do something different every day, or every night if you want since its very hot in the summer. running in the sun will only make you NOT want to run ahaha. maybe play sports for fun too so you can get your running exercise and have fun at the same time.
  4. im in cross county too, this is my plan run normaly like you have been doing. every week run a little bit harder or longer. take sundays off every week. dont run on saturdays though, go for a bike ride for about 2 times the distance you usually run. but not a real leasurly bikeride. have fun and i hope i helped =]
  5. there are a lot of ways to get good i just dont know how quick you can do it. Here's a few suggestions on what you can do to have some fun while getting in shape -cross training- biking for a serious distance not just around the neighborhood probably for a half hour or so you should feel it in your legs, aqua jogging is also good its pretty much running in the water you can do that for about a half hour too -running- its prob the best way to get ready for cross country lol you should run for about a half hour to start and increase the distance as u get stronger you should also have one long run a week strength training-you do hill workouts where you run up a large hill multiple times as fast as you can, core training can help as well, interval workouts where you warm up for like a mile run a certain distance (ex. half mile) as hard as you can then take like 1-3 minute rest and do it again you should do this a few times and then cool down for a mile -remember to push yourself its the only way to get better!good luck!
