Cross Training Questions

I am training for high school track next spring and want to be lean/light/muscular. what should i do/eat?

I am somewhat overweight (5'4" at 155 lbs.) but some of it is already muscle mass, it's not all fat. I went through cross country season being this heavy, and I knew that I could do much better if I was less fat/more fit. Along with running alot every day and lifting some light weights for about 35 minutes every day, how should I eat? I am already cutting our refined sugar completely. The only sugar I eat is natural, such as the sugar in dates, raisins, etc. Please help!! I am a very determined person, so I can do anything I put my mind to. I just need guidance.

  1. I lost weight by going to a dietician they have ways for you to loose weight that is healty for you, and won't harm you. Sound like your on the right track though with the exercise. Listen to your body it will let you know when enough is enough.
  2. How old are you? 155 is not that heavy. Anyway, by cutting out the sugar, you are already a quarter way there. Well done. Base meals on protein which will help you loose more weight. become a veggie & fruit fan. And despite the bad rap, a sensible intake of carbs will not hinder your progress. keep up with the running too. Its possible to become aerobicaly fit even when you are heavy, so imagine how fit you can be when you are a bit lighter. you
