cross country?
I finished track last week. I need to train hard for cross country season. I am looking to drastically lower my time. Should i start training now?

- Yes. Miles are especially important for cross country. So go on long distance runs- at the least 5 miles. Also do hill workouts to get ready for hilly courses. Lastly make sure to go on trail runs and runs in the grass to get used to different surfaces.
- YES. Give yourself a few days break to let your body recover, then start training. Miles and miles will help your times.
- Yes you need to train now, if you want to be good. If you have dedicaiton running mornings and afternoons is a great way to ge tmore miles with less tiredness.. Itll hurt at first, but without pain you'll never be the best. Like Steve Prefontaine, he didnt have great speed or form, he could jsut endure pain more then anyone else.
- Yeah, start training, i am also planning to do that, and i really want to make JV as an upcoming freshman, and i know i have a lot of competition too. Anyways, start off slow, with an easy jog at 3 miles then gradually make your pace faster and then later increase distance. Hope this helps.
- yes, i would start training for it right away..but give yourself some time to take a break. =]
