weight loss advice!?
I need to lose some weight...please dont tell me that my weight is fine because its something I need to do. Kidney disease runs in my family and my mother is overweight so I need to start now so I dont go the same way. Here's my 'stats': -20yrs old -weigh 63.6kg (140pounds) -162cm (5'4) tall -bmi is 24.2 Here's what Im doing so far: -Cutting calorie intake (1000 per day max) -Im taking a diet supplement that supresses appetite (so i wont binge eat in between meals, im terrible for it), helps remove fat & increases metabolism -Im getting a treadmill and will do approx 2hrs on that every second day -I do a 20min cross training workout on the days off running for my muscles. i want to be around 52-55kg (115-121pounds)... can anyone give me any advice? I really need to lose weight... please help me! xo

- DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!! You need water to burn fat! Also i am trying to lose weight too so i am getting alot of tips form Shape magazine (if you dont want to go out and buy the magazine you cannn go to Shape.com they have tons of eating and excersizing and other stuff like that tips) I do lots of crunches and push ups. And if you have stairs I run up and down them until I get a sweat going. Anotther thing would to be to rent excersize videos. One I like would be Dinease Austins Super Stomachs. I will add on if I think of anything else! Hope this helps! Good Luck!
- If there was a way for me to get the weight from you I would be jumping with joy, cos i am trying to put some weight on (lol) I would recomend that u stay away from pills to loose weight cos they usually have side effects too. Stick to the calorie cutting and exercise, but don't stress over your weight . Good luck.
- If you continue to do exactly what you said you are doing above you will lose the weight you want. Please, take a multi-vitamin. 1000 cal/day is very low. As a personal trainer, I never recommend below 1200 cal/day because you simply won't get the nutrients you need if you have any less. Doing long, slow cardio as opposed to running will burn a higher percentage of fat. When you are working at about 65% of your maximum heart rate the percentage of fat being burned is 60%. When you are working out harder at, say, 75% of your maximum heart rate, the percentage of fat being burned is only 40%. Instead, you burn up your body's carbohydrates...not what you want. If you are 20 yrs old, your max heart rate is 200 (220 - age). So, when you do your cardio, try to keep your heart rate at about 65% of this, which is 130 beats per minute. Have a great Summer! :)
- DO NOT TAKE THE DIET SUPPLEMENT. its just a waste of your money. If you really are trying to lose weight then here is a great site that will definitely help you out... http://beyondcardioworkouts.com Good Luck! AviB
