not sure if this exercise plan will work?
i've got some machines at home - a treadmill, a bike, a cross trainer and a rowing machine. i really struggle to fit in exercise but have been managing to do 40 mins on the machines 4 times a week. i really want to lose weight and tone up a little - but weight loss is the main priority. i do sit ups but no other specific weight training. is this gonna be good enough or do i really need to do more weights ? i feel like the machines are toning me at the same time but is this enough to be healthy or do i need to do weights / specific toning exercises too ?

- any kind of exercise is good. using these machines should help you lose weight if you also watch what you eat. eat a well balanced diet with proper portions and drink water more than any other beverage.
- Losing weight is a combination of exercise and a healthy diet. Its great that your getting your 40 minutes in, alot of people struggle to do that. A person could workout all they wanted, however if they arent eating and resting correctly, in the long run it wont matter. If weight loss is your main priotiry, then evaluate your daily intake of calories, pretty much what you are eating and when. Your workout sounds substantial for now. Try some free-squats, using a chair for balance and/or some wall push-ups if you cant do the ones on the floor for now. These little exercises should help you start to build some muscle and burn some calories. I hope this helps. Thanks.
