Is 6000 strides on the cross trainer the same as 6000 on a pedometer?
Also on a similar principle for Gym Bikes and Rowing Machines how do these fit in

- Wow, what a good question! I don't know the answer about the strides, but I do know that rowing machines and most other gym machines have a calorie counter function. Unless you input your own weight, they usually assume you weigh 150 pounds--maybe you could use that to see what you have to do to burn x number of calories on each machine.
- yes, 6000 strides is if not the same very close to 6000 on a pedometer. A gym bike is the same as a regular bike as far as pedaling and the same for a rowing machine.
- yes it doesnt matter how big your strides are its the impact on the mat /floor/road/steps that the pedometre counts
