Cross Training Questions

Can you please give me some information on cross trainer shoes, running shoes, and walking shoes?

Thank you so much for your help and time!

  1. If you're going to run, go to a store that specializes in running shoes. They can watch the way your foot and ankle react as you run, and by seeing that, they can recommend the best shoe for you. Most people pronate (their ankle rolls to the inside); some people supinate (their ankle rolls to the outside). Without seeing that reaction, it's impossible to for us to pick a shoe. If you pronate quite a bit, then you need a motion control shoe. But if your pronation is minimal a stability shoe or cushioned shoe would be better. If you're going to walk or do aerobics, then a walking shoe or cross trainer will suffice. But running shoes are designed for running and to run without the correct shoe will lead to injury.
