will using a cross trainer tone my legs or make them even bigger?!?
i want to tone my thighs and butt, so i have been using a cross trainer every day. i'm worried though, that my thighs will get even bigger, because someone told me using a cross trainer will make your thighs and your butt more muscley, so therefore much bigger... help!!

- Don't worry. It won't. To get bigger the muscles need to be damaged, and so regrow bigger and stronger. To stress muscles enough to damage them you need to use weights! The cross trainer incorporates resistance, but it is not the same as weight training, therefore you're muscles will not get bigger. The x trainer is excellent for developing cardio ability and for burning fat. It also tones (ie strengthens - not builds!) shoulders, back, bum and thighs. It's easily one of the best all round fitness machines. Using one every day is an excellent way to tone up!

- if you do low resistance and many repetitions, chances are you will get toned only.
