Cross Training Questions

Does anyone know any open toe sneakers for cross training?

And if yes, where can I buy them?

  1. why would you want open toe sneakers to cross train?
  2. You do not want to cross train in open toed sneakers. That creates a serious risk of stubbing your toes or getting the sole in the front caught on something and tripping you up. Yes that might look stylish and cute if they even make those but not a good thing for training in. I doubt athletic footwear companies even make sneakers like that for those reasons.
  3. for what, there not going to help anything, they may hurt.
  4. I agree with the others, you don't want to use open-toe for true cross training. However, if you are hiking, there are plenty of hiking sandals (Teva) with excellent support. You can hike at the same speed as with shoes/boots...you can even do some climbing with it. You might be able to do some light running with these, but it's not really designed for that. Don't use these if you are carrying a load (like a backpack). Be sure to get the ones with the (aglion?) anti-smell material, as foot sweat and sandal rubber tend to produce a very bad odor. Check places like REI.com for a wide selection.
