Cross Training Questions

 

How will bicycling help cross country running?

I am a cross country runner in high school. I am planning my summer workout which includes running 30+ miles a week and weight training 2-4 days a week. I am thinking about adding bicycling and was wondering how much it would actually benefit my running and in what ways.

  1. Cycling will develop your quads which will help running hills. It will also help develop your cardio-vascular fitness which will help in any sport.
