Diet and workouts for preparing for a marathon?

I am preparing for a marathon. I do not have a time line yet and am working on the training plan. I am in the early stages of preparing. I currently run a 5k in about 18 minutes. Ready to move on to something more intense. Any advice for diet, foods, workouts, and cross training?

  3. Watch the movie Saint Ralph. It will inspire you for the marathon. Really good movie.
