Cross Training Questions

Will cross-country adversely affect my weight-training plans?

I am trying to build mass and strength for my final basketball season, I have about a month, but I also need cross-country because I have been grossly out of shape. Will the two needs collide negatively? Has anyone been in this predicament? Or am I over-worrying? btw my metabolism is whopping fast, which is why I am worried that running will just burn off all the proteins I take. thanks in advance to anyone who answers 8 minutes ago - 3 day(s) left to answer. 1. Cross country and weight training do not mix in my opinion If you are building mass currently, and the weight is going on quickly, which it shouod be if you are doing it right, then you will be putting massive additional pressure and strain on your knees, metatarcels and achielles thatI would not recommend you do... Cross country is better than road runnnig granted, but the side ways movements of footfall on uneven ground is worrying. In terms of burning off proteins, you could still do it but do not go crazy on long runs, 2-3 miles will be fine as you should be doing aerobic activity also.
