Cross Training Questions
The air force and cross training!!!?
I was thinking about putting in for a cross training assignment to become a Load Master, that is if the AF needs people in that job. Has anybody out here been a load master in the AF, and would you suggest it as a good job, and why. if you answer no could you please tell me why? thank you.

- My husband is currently in the AF (he actually took the Blue to Green route just recently), and knows a few load masters. Most say it's ok, but it isn't wonderful. I would ask around on base to see what others feel around you. Also, make sure that your cross training window is open and that if you can't get this, then you can try for something else. What do you do now? What jet would you work on? I wish you luck and hope you find the job that you will enjoy!
- My husband works with loadmasters and he says if you don't have a family it's a great job, and they get paid a lot on the outside. The problem is you are gone a LOT.
