Walking shoes vs. Running shoes?
Today, I just bought a pair of New Balance walking shoes. They are really cute and I really want to keep them. But the thing is, I am using them to train for cross country. Do you reccomend them for cc? Plus, I am on a limited budget 20-25 dollars for good brand name running shoes. The ones that I bought were 20 and thats a very good price.Any advice is welcome! Thanks!

- You can run in the shoes. They have a different heal so that walkers can land heal first. If you land flat as most distance runners do it should not make any difference if you are running easy. The price you paid seems very cheap. Try them and see if they work for you.
- It really depends on how they feel to you. I personally feel that you should take the time to save and invest in a good pair of running shoes if you're going to run cc. Runners put their bodies through alot of strain and it's very rewarding in the end so having a good running shoe is important because you don't want to develop any bad habits or make any compensations for bad techinque. Save a little money and try your local running shoe company and ask to get fitted. Best of Luck!!!!
- It just depends on the shoe, wome walking shoes are great for running, others will beat you all to crap. It's just a thing of experimenting for yourself. As for the running shoes, odds of finding a good pair for less than fifty is a long shot, even at many of the bargain tables.
