Cross Training Questions

Overpronation, underpronation, does it matter?

I'm 16, and I want to start working out. I've been shopping for cross-training shoes, but I can't determine my foot type. Does it really matter? Can I just pick any old shoe?

  1. This depends. If you plan to do any running, you'll need a shoe to fit your foot/arch type. I recommend going to a running store and ask for help picking out a shoe. They will watch you run and pick a shoe based on whether or not your foot rolls (protonates) and your arch. Your feet, knees, and hips will thank you! :-)
  2. NO NO NO it is very neccesary u have the correct shoe. this causes many injuries shin splints stress fractures tendinitis compartment syndrome So be sure it fits you right and its the correct shoe for you.
