Cross Training Questions

For running..what's the difference between a training shoe and a running shoe?

I'm not referring to a cross-training shoe...I'm training for a half marathon (my first) and wondering if I should buy a training shoe or a regular running shoe - Any recommendations? I'm 128lb 5'1" female with normal/nuetral feet..and I'm a beginner runner...Thanks!

  1. usually just the price.
  2. A running shoe is usually light, and you just run in it. But a training shoe is made in a certain way depending on what you are training for, and is sometimes heavier I heard.
