Cross trainer? I have a cross trainer at home, I'm planning to exercise on it everyday for 30 mins. Will it make my bum,and thighs toner? Can I keep this up until I lose about 20 pounds? And how many months until I lose them? I don't want an exactly how many months...but a maybe.I want to lose them in about...6 months? Can I keep that up? But I can't seem to stop eating junk food...Any motivation tips? And when I use the cross trainer...will i get muscles? becuz I don't want any muscles, I actually want to lose them, then my body fat. I should be patient and wait for results to come right? Please please I need some motivation tips..like really! and I esspecially want to lose weight around the bum and thighs.

Cross Trainer? Hey guys, I was wondering, if I work out on the cross trainer in the gym for like 20-30 mins thrice weekly, will my arms become toner and thinner? I'm a girl btw, and i dun wan my arms to become thicker
Cross-trainer vs. treadmill? I just started using it and for 20 minutes it seems I only burn 100 calories or so... compared to the treadmill where I burn 300/400 calories... is it just that I need to practice more to get use to the motions of the cross-trainer? I've only used it twice? A friend of mine he can burn 500/600 calories on a cross-trainer in 20/30 min... I am looking to burn fat around my waist and I like the motions the cross-trainer forces... moving both arms and legs.. and I suppose it is lower pressure on the legs? Basically what are the benefits of a cross-trainer? How long does it take to get good at using it? Is a cross-trainer better than a treadmill?

Elliptical cross trainer help? I'm looking at buying an elliptical cross trainer. Can someone tell me what the difference is between a cross trainer that has a magnetic fly wheel and a cross trainer that has a fan fly wheel? Thank you :)
Cross-trainer : what's the limit one can exercise? We have purchased a Cross-trainer (Elliptical) and would like to know the following: 1. What is the limit to which we can exercise with this trainer (time) ? 2. Does this exercising help in weight loss and trimming your body ? 3. Cross trainer makes legs and bum bigger? Hi, wonder if anyone can help me. I've been using the cross trainer for an hour a time twice a weekfor the past two months. I have also been dieting and have lost weight. However, my legs and bum seem to have gone bigger. My bum used to be flat but now its gone rounder, which makes me feel fat! Could it be muscle from the cross trainer? I am not fat,im 8 stone and 5 foot 4 so I dont tink its fat. Thanks
cross trainer or running machine? which one gives the best cardio results? i prefer the cross trainer which hass less impact on the feet which is best for a cardio workout to burn that gruesome fat! i like how the cross trainer provides your heart rate too
treadmill or cross trainer? I am looking to purchase some exercise equipment but can't decide whether to get a treadmill or a cross trainer. I've heard that treadmills give you a total body workout, but cross trainers help to tone your upper body and torso. Elliptical cross trainer? I have bought a Elliptical magnetic cross trainer second hand,it came with no instructions,i have a physical job but would consider myself unfit.How is the best way to start using the trainer,what sort of program should i be doing,how many times a week should i be looking at training and for how long? When to use cross trainer/how long for/technique? Hi. I've just bought a cross trainer. I want to tone my stomach, thighs and bum. I'm just a little unsure of when to use it and how long for really. I'm finding it quite difficult to use at the minute as I'm quite unfit. When is the best time to use it? The morning or evening? Also, how long should I go on it for? I'd like to lose half a stone or so but I'd much prefer to tone up tbh. Also, I've heard that using the machine in reverse is good. Why it this? What is a cross trainer good for? What areas are they good at toning?
cross trainer and upperbody toning? I use my cross trainer at home everyother day but wonder what is classed as a good workout my moniter covers time cals distance etc i also now need to start doing some toning for my stomach and upper body but mainly want ro reduce inches on my upper body any 1 know any good exercises for this
Looking for a Cross Trainer with a big weight limit .. any ideas? Must be capable of handling a 22 stoner!? I need to lose weight ........ used gyms but I just couldn't cart my big butt down there with consistency ....... so I am looking for a home cross trainer but most machines have puny weight limits. The only one I can see that suits me is the Carl Lewis Programmable Studio Cross Trainer.at Argos, (model ELP777) also available at www.simplyfitnessequipment.co.uk I just want to know whether this is the only product available to me or whether there are any alternatives? Can using a cross trainer be as beneficial as running? Cross trainer questions.? Hi ive just bought a elliptical cross trainer,i stopped smoking in october & have put weight on.(could do with losing a couple of stone!!) Ive tried it for the last two days & i quite enoy using it !! (I dont normally do any exersise) Seeing as i like it,im going to stick with it. I just want to make sure im doing everything right so i get the best results. I've been doing it by distance at 2 miles at a time which takes 10/15mins. Should i be doing more? Or is this this ok just to start with seeing as i hav'nt done any exersise fo a while? Could someone advise me on how long or far & what settings to use etc, so the i dont over or under do it. will using a cross trainer tone my legs or make them even bigger?!? i want to tone my thighs and butt, so i have been using a cross trainer every day. i'm worried though, that my thighs will get even bigger, because someone told me using a cross trainer will make your thighs and your butt more muscley, so therefore much bigger... help!!

Air eliptical cross trainer ~ Any good? Hi. Ive had this cross trainer for a few years now its now been in the shed for months I used it for about a week at the most as I got boared!. But now I feel like I want to use it again! Ive got myself a mp3 player so it might make it abit more entertaining!. What i would like to know is does this machine realy tone you up? as I didnt notice anything in a weekk, thats partly why i gave up... but if theres anyone out there who have had results from this machine please tell me!! exercise using cross trainer? Ok i know there are a million questions about this but none cover the same things I needed to know. I am 5ft10 and a size 8 so do not necessarily need to work out to lose weight, but I need to do some exercise to tone up for work (I do modelling!). I have a cross trainer and wanted to know if using this for about 30 mins daily will tone me up without adding muscle. Also - will it effectively tone my arms, legs, bum and stomach, or are there other exercises i need to be doing as well? Motivation is not a problem! xxxx
I have just got myself a cross trainer ...? i want to lose weight, as over christmas i put on a few pounds. ive always had those few extra pounds ive wanted to shift but couldnt, i eat fairly healthily with the occasional treat, but i want to know, if i use a cross trainer 5 times a week for an hour or so, along with eating sensibly, would i actually shift the weight ive had lingering for about 5 years? ive tried exercise dvds and after a month of a different dvd each night, 5 nights a week i didnt see much change to my body. i looked a little more toned but didnt lose much weight. my belly was and still is there along with my chunky thighs and bingo wings! if anyone else has had success on a cross trainer id appreciate your comments. thanks thanks for the "normal" answers :-)
calories burned on cross trainer and bike? Does anyone know where i can find out how many calories I have burned on the cross trainer (level 4) for 15 mins and the bike (level 5) for 190 mins please? I am 13st 11lbs Thanks in advance that should be 10 mins for the bike
Will using a cross trainer cause me to get thunder thighs?? i am a girl of 14 and my family are thinking of getting a cross trainer. if i used it would it give me thunder thighs and large shoulders or will it be alright if it does what other machines, or exercises can i do to make my stomach flatter (i am not fat) and my body more toned. i am not trying to lose weight (my bmi is 15.6 which means im underweight) just trying to tone my figure and do more exercise. i dont have any eating disorders. thanks
Exercise bike or cross trainer? Which is best to lose fat around the thighs & gut? Had a exercise bike for years which finally broke two nights ago. It does the job fine, but just wondered if the cross trainer would be a better purchase. Price doesn't matter cos approx they both cost the same
Is my elliptical cross trainer mental??? I just went on my cross trainer for an hour at a resistance of 5 at an average of 160 watts, it gave me the following results: 60:39 minutes 556 calories 3.58 kilometres 2.23 miles therefore it would take me 11h 40mins to run a 26 mile marathon or 25 minutes to run 1500 meters now I'm no athlete but I'm sure even my gran can run faster than 2.23 miles an hour lol, the calories look about right, how far should I have travelled going at 160 watts for an hour, is the 160 watts reading even right hmm well I found a table on a web site stating: Activity: Running Energy consumption: 600 kcals/hr at 9 kph Ergometer effort level: 160 watts so if I'm going at 9 kilometres an hour the marathon would take me 4h 40m which sounds more realistic and with the calories almost matching too I'm going to assume that its just the distance read out that's not working. I wasn't walking I was going at a fast jog/slow run and I will be contacting Pro-Form to see why its not working lol
Has anyone got a cross trainer? I bought a cross trainer and used it for the first time thinking that I would only start with 10-15 mins and then build myself up over a couple of weeks (ideally would like to do 20-30 mins each time). However, I only managed to push myself to do 7 mins!! When I got off I felt dizzy and legs were shaky and felt a little sick. Im sure Im not that unfit as I have lost over 2 stone, go swimming and aqua aerobics. Does anyone else have the same problems as me? Am I the only lightweight .. lol. I know I have to build up but thought that I would be able to do it better than that!

How to work Lifestyler System 50 cross trainer-electrical resistance? Our neighbors are moving and gave us one of those cross trainer workout machines. It has a digital display on a stand that plugs into the workout machine with what looks like a telephone type cable, but there is no battery compartment or AC plug in, so we cant change the resistance level. I was just curious if anyone else had one of these machines and knew how to give it power. It is on probably the least amount of resistance now and basically is useless. Thank You!
how much should i workout on treadmill & cross trainer? i have a treadmill and a cross trainer at home but i dont know how much time i should spend on both of them in a day to lose weight. due to pregnany & all i have gained 15kgs & its been there for a year now i really want to get those kgs off. Is there any way I can reduce my pulse on the cross trainer? I've been going to the gym for three weeks now and usually do 40mins of aerobic exercise. I usually do 20-30 on the bike and 20 or so on the rowing machine. I went straight from the bike to the cross trainer today and my pulse went upto 160bpm and I nearly puked. Should I maybe start on the cross trainer and then go to the other machines later? I usually don't have any problems with the bike or rower in relation to pulse or puking. I can add details if necessary I'm 37 yrs old. 5foot7 and 13 stone. I ate at 0815 (cereal with honey and a banana) in the gym by 09:15
How do you calculate the BMI for a cross-trainer or body-builder? Never got an answer to this before, today it seems to be of more interest. A man with built-up muscles in his arms, shoulders, chest and legs who calculates his BMI will find that he is profoundly fat, maybe even obese. How can a cross-trainer (let alone a body-builder) make use of the BMI with his physically ambitious lifestyle taken into account? Is there a formula of some sort that gym bunnies and (whatever guys at the gym are called) can use that factors in the increased weight of muscle?
Elliptical cross trainer for approx £200? Difficult to decide? I have a budget of £200 to buy a cross trainer (e.powered) and am looking to use it to tone up and loose some kilos (heart rate control required). Could any1 suggest what to look out for or one that you know may cost around this much? So far the Cintura 4010 seems to my best bet but can't decide just yet.... and what do you think of the 3 series reebok cross trainer?
has anyone ever lost a lot of weight using a cross trainer,? ive just bought one and started using one today, ive also started eating more healthy this week, its not a strict diet but its low fat foods with whole wheat bread and pasta, brown rice etc. i just need some inspiration, so if anyone has had success stories with a cross trainer please let me know.
